Last December 2 -3, 2006, 15 seminarians with the rector of the MMCS went to Cagayan de Oro City to join the 1st CABUSTAM Inter-Diocesan College Seminary Assembly held at Camaman-an Hill. It was hosted by the San Jose the Mindanao Seminary with the theme: “The Heart and the Mind of the Future Servant Leaders”. At the same time it was also the Golden Jubilee Celebration of the host seminary.
The high light of the said event was the sports fest which was actively participated by the seminarians of the different seminaries in CABUSTAM. In the evening of December 2, there was a program where the seminarians show cased their talents in dancing, acting, and of course in singing. A disco took place after the program with a live band that made the event more enjoyable and unforgettable.
This kind of event will take place every year according to the Seminary Formators. The purpose of this is to promote friendship, bonding, and camaraderie among future priests and servant leaders.
More power to the seminary Formators and Seminarians of CABUSTAM..!

Despite the close fight between the four gorgeous contestants, Sem. Fhygie Ladres, the Saint Benedict Class bet claimed the title as Mr. MMCS 2006, last September 28, 2006 as the highlight of the 2nd Monthly program, here in MMCS building, Togbongon.
The three other contestants were Sem. Churchil Comon titled as First Runner Up and grasped all the special awards; Best in Production Number, Best in Sportswear, Best in Talent and Best in Formal Attire. Another one was Sem. Junzon Mark Gonzaga ranked as Second Runner Up and Sem. Everjardo Polvorosa as Third Runner Up.
The Search was judged by the three faculty and staff of SPUS namely, Mrs. Victoria Abella (Chairman), Miss Quennie Monta and Miss Edwina Eludo. The winners were presented by Mrs. Abella and were awarded by rev. Fr. Larry L. Espuerta, DCS, Vice Rector and dean of Seminarians. Afterwards, the winners showed their killing smiles as they posed for their picture taking.

“Seminarians being the light in the lives of others”, was the theme of MMCS for its 2nd Monthly program which was celebrated last September 28, 2006 at MMCS building, exactly 7:30 pm.
The said program was started with a doxology rendered by the MMCS grand choir and it was formally opened by Sem. Sulfecio Samontina, St. Thomas Class mayor. The highlight of the program was the search for Mr. MMCS 2006, which was participated with four (4) gorgeous seminarians representing their class.
A seminarian must be a S-E-M-I-N-A-R-I-A-N; to be a light in the lives of others”, Mr. Virgil Donzal stressed, during his inspirational talk as the guest speaker of the said event.
Several students from Saint Paul University Surigao, spearheaded by mr. Randy Retulla, SSC Vice President, and some faculty of the said University came to witness the said event It was successfully ended with a snacks prepared by the St. Thomas Class as sponsoring batch of this affair.

The Maradjao Magbalantay College Seminary inaugurates its annual celebration of Parents Day and Investiture ‘06 with the theme “Take up your cross and follow me….” last August 19-20 at the Seminary Compound. It was the most succesful event happened this semester and it was participated by the parents, visitors, and respected guests.
Bishop Antonieto Cabajog, DD, presided the Eucharistic celebration at 6:30 pm, with Fr. Ricardo Virtudazo, Fr. Edito Alcala, Fr. Nick penados and the Seminary priests. Prior to this mass, was an evening prayer led by Sem. Florence Jun Bantugan. The place was embraced with solemnity as the seminarians did on top in their singing performance impressing their parents.
After the the mass, dinner was served and the program proper followed immediately. “We will do everything for you even if a single centavo will remain in our pockets”, stressed by Mr. Florencio Bantugan, President of Parents of Seminarian Association, during his short talk in the program. He also added some advices to the seminarians to work hard on what they have been started.
During the next morning, everybody was prepared to witness the St. Peter batch (3rd year) in receiving the rite of Sotanandi. The Four candidates namely:, Sem. Florence Jun bantugan, Sem. Glenn Donoso, Sem. Ralph Esma and Sem. Junzon Mark gonzaga fortunately passed the preliminary interview in presenting their own application letter to the Seminary fathers. “There is a feeling of excitement and at the same time nervousness”, one of the candidate said. Finally, the clebration ended with a lunch hosted by the Seminary. It was the first time that the rite fall on a Sunday as many believers witnessed the vesting of sotanna at San Nicolas de Tolentino Cathedral which was celebrated by Bishop Anonieto Cabajog, DD.
